Almost all non Russian passport holders need a visa to enter Russia. Visas can be obtained from the Russian Embassy in your country of residence. Usually it takes the Embassy 3-10 business days to processes the visa.

Visa applications require:
- An original passport with at least two blank visa-designated pages (passport must be valid for at least 6 months after intended departure date to Russia)
- Russian visa application form, completed and signed
- Two passport-size photos
- Medical insurance (required from some countries)
- An invitation letter and a tour confirmation letter issued by a company authorized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia to provide visa support

Visa registration
This is the second mandatory visa process. Upon entering Russia, all visas must be registered. For every successive city visited for a period of more than three days, the visa must be registered. Baikal Mystery will register visas within the Lake Baikal and Irkutsk region.
